What it is:
Dove Nutritive Therapy Nourishing Oil Care shampoo and the next generation conditioner “ it’s combined with treatment.
Combined, they are designed to revive dry and damaged hair. Dove assures the shampoo is also great for reducing frizz up to 80%.
How it works:
According to Dove, the shampoo is a unique blend of non-greasy natural almond and mineral oils that are so weightless, they are instantly absorbed to deeply nourish and replenish essential nutrients “ which results in that smooth, soft, frizz-free, shiny hair we all crave.
The conditioner treatment works as a regular conditioner “ revives dry, frizzy hair “ but also has the benefits of a treatment “ providing hair with essential nutrients that restore softness and shine. It’s a dual-action formula with a toothpaste look and feel because of the two-coloured stripes.
The gold stripe contains a nutria-oil treatment that nourishes and replenishes nutrients without leaving behind that drab greasiness.
I was really happy to see almond oil “ which is not only a great natural treatment for dry and damaged hair, its also been shown to add luster to hair as well “ and coconut oil “ contains protein within hair to keep it nourished “ in the list of ingredients “ I’m a big fan of natural food oils.
And the verdict is:
After only five applications of using these products, here’s what I can tell you.
My hair beef has always been: it’s very thick, frizzy, heavy, dry, sometimes brittle and extremely prone to static “ especially in the winter months.
Now, I’m happy to report that my hair is noticeably super soft “ I mean after-the-salon soft and smells great. Also, my head feels like it lost 5 pounds! My hair feels so light, weightless and manageable. Not only that, but it has actually managed to reduce the frizz by almost half. The only bummer is it slightly worsened my static problem.
Is it worth the hype:
I would have to say DEFINITELY. At a budget-friendly price you can get salon effects at home. If your hair is dry and damaged whether it be from repeated hair colouring, exposure to heat, or overall neglect, this one is a keeper.
