We've learned that exfoliating is a big part of a skincare routine, but one thing you should avoid is microbeads.
Microbeads are a part of many facial exfoliators, they are tiny pieces of plastic that are 5 millimetres or less and they do exfoliate your skin, but when added up they are polluting the great lakes.
The state of New York is trying to ban microbeads in the Microbead Free Waters Act.
Here are a two exfoliators that don’t use microbeads that you can use as an alternative:
