Have you heard of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley? Well, between her Victoria’s Secret work, her role in the new Burberry Makeup campaign, her upcoming role in the new Transformers film and her latest project with esteemed photographer Rankin, you’re about to.
The focus of a new book, Ten Times Rosie, showcases both the English model and the designs of Paula Thomas, founder and head of Thomas Wylde, which comes just in time for the label’s 10th season in the fashion industry. (And right on the heels of London Fashion Week “ so the timing is excellent.)
Whiteley takes on ten vastly different personas in each shot, and in addition to her appearance in book form, the project also will be on display at the Annroy Gallery in London until the end of next month. (So if you find yourself across the pond, make sure you check it out.)
And it’s not only Rankin, Thomas and fashion aficionados who are enthusiastic about this endeavour. The model herself spoke on the subject and declared her excitement: Shooting Ten Times Rosie was the most incredible experience of my career.
I think we have created some beautiful and iconic images. I’m so proud of this project and I believe it’s something that is very close and personal to all of us as it’s a combined effort of our creativity and imagination.
So to anyone who doubts that fashion is art, all you have to do is flip through the pages of tihis book.
