Dating a Silver Fox

He has it together: he’s mature, has a stable career, savings and knows what he wants in life “ and it involves you. So what if he’s a littler¦er, a lot, older. You’re not after his bank account or a father figure “ being with him just feels like the answer to the dating woes you’ve been having with men your age.

Here’s why it works:

1. He’s worldly

There’s a good chance he’s left video games and keggers in dirty apartments behind. Instead, he’ll introduce you to scotch and obscure documentaries “ things younger men either don’t think about or can’t afford to do.

2. He’s serious

He’s dated and played the mind games. He knows what he wants and if he’s found it in you, he’s going to hang onto it. This means he’ll return your calls, show up (mostly) on time and keep his place presentable.

3. He doesn’t stay out all night

He’s already done the bar scene to death, so you don’t have to worry about late nights, suspicions and silence.

4. He’s confident

He’s self-assured and secure in himself and his career, so a young sprite with big ambitions like yourself doesn’t scare him off. He’ll support you and likely be a source of good business advice.

5. He’s experienced

He’s self-confident, smooth and he’s been with many other women “ which, if you can handle it, means he knows exactly what he’s doing and how to please you.

6. He’s been fluffed

Those other women have helped him shop for shoes and pretty up his place “ since he’s with you now and not them, all that’s left to do is enjoy their handiwork.

7. He’s a gentleman

Manners, grooming and respect “ these are typically abundant in men who have traded nail biting and belching for chivalry and cologne.

8. He treats you well

He picks up the bill at dinner and isn’t afraid to get the door for you or hold your hand. You will feel loved, cared for and perhaps even protected.

9. He worships you

He admires your youthfulness, spontaneity and passion. You bring a freshness to his life and make him laugh and he’s unselfconscious at showing his appreciation.

Have you ever dated a silver fox? Why do you find them so appealing?

I have dated an “older” man for 7 years and much of what you have stated in this article is true. There are still the older men who think they can have it all you and other women but this is the case with any age of man be it younger or older. This can be the deepest relationship you ever have so don’t hesitate if you find yourself a silver fox.

I’m currently dating a guy who is 15 years older than me(I’m 23, he’s 38) and I couldn’t be happier! We’ve been together for over a year, and have been living together for about 6 months. Everything is going so smoothly and I can honestly say that I made the right decision:) I don’t think I’ve ever been so in love or so loved by anyone ever, and it’s a beautiful thing. *swoon*
