Your Summer 2018 Love Horoscope

It seemed like winter was never going to end there for a minute, right? Well here we are at last, with fancy-free days of sunshine upon us. For all of us, this summer will be filled with many opportunities for adventure in love, but they won’t come without reality checks. Some big planets are in motion this year, including three eclipses throughout July and August — cosmic occurrences that are notorious for spurring big changes, and wake-up calls! Ready to get our summer love on? Here’s a sneak peek at your summer 2018 love horoscope.

Aries (March 21-April 19)
Growth-oriented Jupiter is in your house of relationships, which could turn your thoughts toward the future. Partnered Aries might initiate a ‘where is this going?’ talk, or make it official. Single rams might rethink their relationship with Tinder (power-swiping got your heart racing and not in a good way? Ditch the app and take a break, then find a more sustainable dating approach). The eclipse on July 27th in your house of community highlights your tribe, which may see you examining your feels around your supporting cast. Are you the leading lady of your life, or are you feeling less than? The time for any necessary change is now.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Brace yourself for some excitement this summer, Taurus. Good news: Hard-ass Saturn was chugging through your relationship sectors for the last few years and just left. If you felt like you couldn’t get a break in love, it’s because you were learning some key lessons that will serve you in the future. Get clear on what you know for sure, and the action you take this summer will bear fruit. Starting May 15th, radical Uranus enters your sign, shaking up your idea of timelines and labels. Challenge yourself to embrace surprises — even if they come in the form of inconvenient realizations (like, for example, you’re not really into your long-term relationship anymore). Trust the path.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Right now, structured Saturn wants to teach you about trust in relationships, especially by presenting you with tests around complicated stuff, like money. Ready to adult, Gemini? If you’re paired up, you may need to deal with a partners’ less-than-ideal financial situation, or you may consider joining bank accounts. If you’re single, you might find yourself thinking about how to become the reliable partner you want to attract. If you show up for these lessons fully (don’t worry about being perfect — just show up), you will be majorly rewarded. Also on your mind this summer is healing: Uranus in your 12th house invites you to shed the parts of yourself that aren’t serving you. Anyone in your life blocking you from being your best? Time to be free of them.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Expansive Jupiter is in your fifth house of pleasure, gifting you opportunities to enjoy creativity and romance this summer. As you sail through invites and recognition, Saturn wants to give you a reality check — just how sustainable are the feel-good partnerships you might be enjoying? Balance party time with down time, and keep an eye towards quality over quantity. July 12 is a Cancer solar eclipse, which could reveal to you a new dimension of yourself. The world wants you to come out of your shell, ready or not, Cancer! Use that superpower intuition of yours to be your guide. You’re magnetic now.

Leo (July 23-August 22)
You’ve put in work in your relationship-realms these past couple years, Leo, and it’s about to pay off. On June 13th, romantic Venus moves into your sign, putting you in the path of people that want to support your regal magic. Be on the lookout with your eyes and your heart. If you’re single, you might meet someone with whom you can have a seriously spicy involvement. If you’re partnered, book a long weekend for an amorous staycation. August 11 brings a Leo solar eclipse which will show you ways you could be more honest and authentic in your relationships. Remember that you don’t always know who you’re becoming until you open up to someone you love.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)
With Jupiter in your third house of communication and connection, it’s looking to be a summer of travel, Virgo. Even if you’re not planning on booking a flight, small excursions — (think: hopping the GO to a nearby city for a daytrip, a farmer’s market or museum across town) — could be big sources of expansion for you whether you’re single or attached. Also, Saturn is in your creative fifth house for the next few years, which means, if you’re paired up, date nights could get a bit routine, and if you’re single, you may feel uninspired about putting yourself out there. Here’s the thing: You’re the master of making a plan and doing it. Bring that dedication to your love life, and you’ll see the return on your investment this summer.

Libra (September 23-October 22)
Starting mid-May, Uranus is entering your eighth house of partnerships where it’ll stay until 2026. This might throw you off-balance, Libra, but just try to be open during this time. If a relationship dynamic is ready to die, it will, now. If some new solution is ready to come onto your radar, it will. Don’t get too in your head trying to make decisions. Instead, create a rock solid self-care practice that helps you stay rooted in your body — focus on that magnetic energy you can bring to a room when you want to, because it’s your superpower. Especially around August 11th, when that solar eclipse in Leo and your fifth house of romance strikes, giving you a fresh new perspective in this area of your life. Meet the changes halfway.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
If you thought you were glued to a ‘type,’ it’s about to get stale, Scorpio. If you’re single, you won’t have to go out of your way to attract folks you never thought you’d consider dating this summer. Stay open to simply connecting, and let that wicked sense of humour be your guide — if someone can bring the lols like you can, it’s a good sign. Go with it, but don’t feel rushed to settle down too quick. This is a big year of transformation for you in all areas: career/money moves, too. If you’re attached, consider expanding date nights to include other couples or friends in general. You’ll be in the mood to make connections now, and you can do so with renewed vigour.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
Been feeling a little low, or listless lately, Sag? Your ruling planet Jupiter is in your 12th house of closure and healing, which may have brought about some bittersweet (or just bitter) endings lately. You’re a sign that likes to move, so it may have been an extra heavy spring on your end. This summer though, you can really move out the old and make space for the new. Ask yourself: what is it you really want? Now is when that answer can really become clear. Say yes to experimenting in dating, and connecting with people who share your love of adventure and travel. Your powers of persuasion have extra magnetism around the August 11th eclipse, so don’t be shy about speaking from your heart.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
Your ruling planet, teacher Saturn, is at home in your sign now, putting the focus on your personal power and the structures that support it. If you’ve already felt the rumblings of rocky foundations — (maybe your identity at work, in your relationship or social sphere) — there’s no denying it now. Time to break down and rebuild what’s not truly authentic. Put that talent for ambition into it and you can’t fail! The July 12th solar eclipse in Cancer will have you craving commitment and connection. If you’re single, you might take your relationship one step further with a serious convo, or, if you’re single, you might end up hooking up with someone that touches you on a deeper level. Will you share your magic? You’re the boss, Cap.

Aquarius (January 20 to February 18)
Aquarius, since last year you’ve been learning what love feels like for you, starting with self-love. That work can yield some real clarity and gratification this summer. The eclipse in your sign on July 27th will deal you an opportunity to step into the limelight, even if you don’t feel necessarily ‘qualified’ to do so, but allow yourself to be vulnerable now and others will reciprocate. Saturn in your house of the spirit may have you feeling introspective, but don’t get in your head — this is actually your summer to live out loud! If you’re single, embrace imperfection, challenge ideals and say yes. If you’re attached, go deeper! Aquarius, just because you’re an individual doesn’t mean you’re meant to be alone.

Pisces (February 19 to March 20)
You’ve been on a mission to solidify your truly supporting cast this year. With Saturn supporting you in your house of teamwork, you might shock yourself by your networking prowess around now. Translate those skills to the dating sphere, and don’t be afraid to talk yourself up (you know how you do that thing where you’re too humble? You don’t always have to do that!) In July, an eclipse happens in your Pisces-ruled 12th house, bringing your intuitive magic to the forefront. Expect hits of intuition or dreams you suspect mean something, and serendipity! That dreamy love you’ve always wanted might be closer than you think.
