Ireland isn't all shamrocks, beer and rain. We spent a few days exploring the city of Dublin and all that it has to offer, including a city built on rich history, an expansive food offering and all kinds of cool places to discover (okay, there's beer, too). Here are some must-hit moments when you visit Dublin.
Do: Go to Howth

Especially if you’re blessed with good weather during your stay (unfortunately, overcast with a bit of rain is a common occurrence in most of Ireland), make your way to the seaside fishing village of Howth. A super-easy 45-minute ride on the DART will take you right to the Howth pier where you can stroll up to the lighthouse and take in the sweeping views of the Irish Sea. Make sure to do the hike on the cliff path loop and finish the day with some fresh seafood. While their are tons of restaurants to choose from, don’t be lured by the shiny newer-looking food spots. Every local asked will tell you to go to Octopussy’s. It doesn’t look like much, but this tiny restaurant serves up some seriously delicious tapas-style dishes with everything sourced from the fishmonger (literally) next door.
