These legendary women excel in their fields, push for greater diversity and aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in. Here are 10 badass influencers who have changed the landscape for Canadian women.
Heather Payne
Heather is a prominent trailblazer when it comes to tech and has already successfully launched multiple startups. In 2011 she started Ladies Learning Code, which is now a national non-profit serving Canadians in over 20 cities across the country. The following year, she launched HackerYou, a Toronto-based programming boot camp that serves over 600 students a year. In 2013, Payne was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women for her work exposing women and girls to programming and technology.
