Toward a Cure: Toronto’s Most Wanted Fashion Event

Passion. Laughter. Love. Joy. These are the words that themed the 9th annual Most Wanted Fashion Event that took place last month. These are the words that everyone needs to experience a life of happiness. These are the words that cancer survivors hope for.

That’s why this glamorous fundraiser is held every year in support of Gynecological Cancer Care at the Princess Margaret Hospital. The hospital’s Cancer Centre is one of the best in the world, providing various oncological treatments to patients from all over Canada.

On May 8th, an exclusive group of fashionable guests gathered at the posh Eagle’s Nest Golf Club just north of Toronto and proceeded to raise $150,000 for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre’s new Immune Therapy Program. This innovative immune therapy promises hope for those battling cancer and makes the Centre the first in the country to provide such groundbreaking medical support.

Co-founder Jim De Gasperis expressed his gratitude, stating, Year after year we are amazed by the tremendous support, donations and sponsorship we receive for this importance cause that touches so many of us. To date we’ve raised $665,000 and we are already looking forward to our tenth year of continued support for all women affected by cancer.

After a champagne reception and delicious dinner, guests enjoyed a dazzling fashion show hosted by The Social’s Melissa Grelo. Models strutted the runway showcasing women’s wear by TNT and men’s wear by Harry Rosen.

Co-founder Marco Guglietti said, It was exciting to have Harry Rosen, Melissa Grelo and TNT on board with us this year. Melissa’s charming personality shone throughout the evening, and all of the clothes were beautiful.

Pieces ranged from casual everyday wear to elegant evening wear.
