Wicked: For Good opens in theatres on November 21, and obviously it’s going to be the movie event of the season. The film details the final chapter of the untold story of the witches of Oz. It picks up where part one left us with Elphaba and Glinda estranged and living with the consequences of their choices. The final trailer dropped a few weeks ago and to date has racked up over 11 million views on YouTube.
At the one-minute-thirty-second mark of the trailer we are served a showstopping long shot of Glinda (Arianna Grande) as a bride, walking down the aisle towards Prince Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey). She is resplendent in a glittering wedding dress featuring a train longer than Princess Diana’s very famous one. Arriving at the alter we see the dress is a sculptural strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and glittering bodice beadwork.
This moment in the upcoming film served as a massive source of inspiration for the latest designs from iconic Canadian bridal designer Ines Di Santo. As revealed in an interview with WWD in advance of Di Santo’s just released Fall 2026 collection RESPIRA the bridal brand was approached by Universal Pictures, which owns the intellectual property rights to Wicked. The studio connected with Di Santo’s daughter Veronica about costuming Grande as Glinda for a wedding scene in the sequel. “Veronica had already seen the play and is a longtime fan, so she was thrilled,” Di Santo shared with the outlet.
Veronica took her mother to see the movie; Di Santo said she was “blown away by the experience.” Learning there was an offer on the table with the studio, the designer told WWD she “couldn’t have been happier. I left the theatre brimming with ideas.”

As part of the RESPIRA collection, Di Santo has created the Wicked: For Good bridal capsule which features a curated lineup of five wedding dresses inspired by the witches of Oz. Designing this was a special moment for Di Santo who shared with WWD she found a vision for it by immersing herself in “the sceneography, the colours, and, of course, the essence of the characters. You’ll see nods to these woven throughout, and I think the audience will recognize them immediately.”

The main characters of the collection are the Glinda and the Elphaba wedding gowns, both wildly dramatic and fantastical in very different ways. The Glinda is a sweeping candy pink ballgown featuring layer upon layer of tulle skirting, sparkles, a peplum waist and an ornately embellished corset bodice. The Elphaba is an architectural mermaid gown (the silhouette is a signature of Di Santo’s designs) in deep emerald green complete with an illusion corset bodice detailed with alluring black lace.
All dresses from the Wicked: For Good capsule collection will be available from April at bridal retailers who stock the Ines Di Santo Couture line. Weddings just became a little extra magical for the year ahead.
