Sarah Jessica Parker Owns All Of Carrie Bradshaw’s SATC & AJLT Wardrobe

Sarah Jessica Parker has once again confirmed that she still owns all of the clothes that her character Carrie Bradshaw has worn throughout the six seasons and two movies of Sex and the City, as well as the three seasons of And Just Like That….

“I have all of it. I’ve kept her archive since the very beginning,” Parker said in a recent interview with Wonderland Magazine posted to TikTok. “I have all of Carrie’s outfits since the pilot. But, that’s the one thing that I’ve had in my contract, pretty much my entire career.”

“So every movie, Miami Rhapsody, LA Story, I have all of it.”

“I’ve been keeping that archive since day one of the series, which is why we can bring all of those pieces back and populate Carrie’s closet with old pieces,” Parker said. “I don’t need to steal anything because I have it all!”

Parker had previously revealed that she still owns all of the clothes that Carrie has worn during her cover interview for the December 2021 issue of Vogue.

“I had all of the original stuff in my own storage. Furniture, clothes, everything, packed according to season and episode and scene,” Parker told Vogue at the time. “I kept every single solitary thing.”

Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) are finally back with the third season of And Just Like That…, which landed on HBO on May 29, 2025. There will be 12 episodes in the third season of And Just Like That…, which marks the longest season of the reboot yet. The first season had 10 episodes, while the second had 11.

“There are tons of amazing pieces this season, for everybody!” Parker told Wonderland about this season of And Just Like That…. “Me in particular, I think my favourite stuff really is probably the stuff that Molly [Rogers] and Danny found in London when I was working there last year.”

When the third season premiered a few days ago, Parker immediately generated headlines for one particular accessory that she wore in the episode — an oversized gingham hat, which flopped over on her head. Carrie paired the unique Maryam Keyhani hat, called a “cloud hat,” with a striped dress.

Speaking to USA Today, she revealed that she was the one who chose the accessory and insisted that it make its way to the camera.

“I saw the hat and wanted it on my head,” she recalled. “At this point, there’s no pretend dilly-dallying around. We pretty much just put stuff on my head and photograph it, and hope that Michael Patrick [King, executive producer of the show] is hospitable to the idea.”

She explained that the striking dress felt “incomplete” without a final crowning moment.

“Once you’ve put a lot of hats on your head, you feel like it’s missing its punctuation point,” Parker said. “So there was that hat. It was going to be a lovely summer day, and it just felt like the period at the end of the sentence. I loved it and [King] agreed. I feel we’ve really worn him down. His eyes have adapted to large-scale things on heads now, so he’s pretty generous about how often they can appear.”

King also spoke to the outlet, saying that he knew the accessory would spark conversations amongst fans. In fact, he was counting on it.

“It’s like, ‘Hey, everybody, we’re back! Here’s a hat that Carrie would wear eating sherbet in Washington Square Park. Why not?’ ” he explained. “I’ve learned over the years that sometimes logic is not as good as a hat. It makes people say, ‘I love it. I hate it. Oh, my God, what was she thinking?’

I think we can rest assured that it will be the first of numerous WTF fashion moments to pop up this season. Hopefully, one day we’ll be treated to all of them in a SATC/AJLT fashion retrospective exhibition.
