Last night Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Winotur, sat down with Seth Myers to chat about their successful night co-chairing the Met Gala.
It was Parker's first time as co-chair and she handled it the SJP way, with style and class, jokingly saying that “you need to be somewhat presentable,” when it comes to actually hosting an event. Wintour added a quick remark stating, “She talks too much. I just stick out my hand and say, 'The exhibition's that way.'” The duo had so much comedic chemistry that it was even hard for host Seth Myers to keep up with. Parker added during the interview, “We are announcing the kick off of our college tour. We're doing a little comedy show.” Well we do know one thing, if these two ever do go on tour, it would be the most chic comedy show ever.
In all seriousness, Parker graciously mentioned that in 16 years of hosting the gala, Wintour has raised over more than $125 million. But the fun continued when the two played fashion police with the male guests. The winner? Benedict Cumberbatch.
