LAZY GIRL’S BEAUTY GUIDE

Whether you slept in, went to bed late or just don't want to get up”we've got you covered

Let's face it: There are some days where getting out of bed early enough to eat a proper breakfast, wash your hair and get out the door at a reasonable time are just not going to happen. There are also nights where you rolled into bed still wearing the day's clothes where you'd likely rather take a bullet to the foot than stand up for the 45 seconds it takes to wash makeup off your face. We've all been there (truthfully, that's the account of the last two days of my life, but hey, no judgment), so for days like that, we give you the lazy girl's beauty guide.

Dry shampoo

Learn to love it. It can easily become your best friend if you just let it into your world. The trick is to find one that works well with your hair type (you may have to try a few before you find the winner), but don’t be deterred if the first few don’t leave your hair instantly revitalized and worthy of showing itself in public. A particular go-to for some of the beauty mavens is the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. This non-dry-shampoo-dry-shampoo soaks up oil in your hair, while also giving it a boost of volume, nixing any remnants of bedhead (or you sleeping through your alarm). A time-saver on those my hair won’t cooperate mornings, just spritz at the roots (a little bit at a time so you don’t overdo it), brush through and style any way you want (our personal favourite: The done-undone ballet bun). And once you get the hang of it, you may have just bought yourself an extra five minutes of snoozing. $47, beautymark.ca.
