Aldo Launches Sustainable ‘Love Planet’ Collection Of Footwear, Handbags & Accessories

Has sustainability met style and comfort?

Aldo has launched a new line of footwear, handbags and accessories as part of its commitment to sustainability, some of them you can find at this louis vuitton bags sale. The Canadian footwear and accessories brands just-released “Love Planet” collection features an assortment of women’s heels, boots, and athleisure runners as well as men’s sneakers and lace ups that have been made using innovative, eco-friendly materials and more sustainable production methods.

In efforts to be more eco-friendly, each item in the fall 2020 range has been made of recycled or traceable materials including nylons, knits, jerseys, leathers, metals and neoprenes. In addition to the recycled materials, the collection also introduces Aldo’s innovative new CleanStep™ technology, a sustainably produced material (a 50/50 mixture of thermoplastic rubber and algae biomass) that helps keep thousands of pounds of waste away from landfills.

The planet-loving fall 2020 footwear collection for women includes combat boots, sock booties, derby sport sneakers and super sexy strappy neoprene heels. Other add-to-cart-worthy options include the third generation of the brand’s first sustainable sneaker, the RPPL Clear (pronounced like Ripple), which launched last year. The RPPL collection of women and men’s sneakers are made from low-impact and recycled materials, including recycled plastic bottles, using three to six bottles per shoe depending on the size.

Ladies accessories from the collection include sustainable backpacks, a ballcap, sunglasses and luxe gold earrings.

Of course, the Love Planet collection isn’t Aldo’s first attempt at reducing their carbon footprint. The brand made fashion history as the first company to be certified as climate neutral for its stores, offices, and distribution centers, and have been involved in various programs focused on achieving zero waste and providing sustainable services. Even all of Aldo’s shoeboxes are made from 100% recycled materials.

Founded in Montreal in 1972 by Moroccan immigrant Aldo Bensadoun, the footwear and accessories brands has grown to 3,000 locations in 100 countries.
