Carries of the world unite. (Just kidding! Carrie Bradshaw is the least realistic character of all time. We all know this. Let’s move on.) Anyway: Sarah Jessica Parker is opening her first stand-alone shop.
[Pause for dramatic effect.]
In Washington, D.C.
Madness, I know, but I’m not in control of how the world works. SJP explained (kind of) in an official press release.
“Opening a stand-alone store has been a dream we have been working towards and we feel truly privileged to be doing so with the expertise, guidance, and support of our brilliant partners at MGM Resorts,” she said. “It’s been very exciting to have been involved in all steps of the process, from on-site construction visits to the actual layout and design of our boutique. I’m honoured to be included in this massive undertaking and I’m very much looking forward to celebrating in December. Because perhaps then I will believe it’s real.”
On Instagram, she elaborated a little more, explaining the SJP Collection store will be located in the MGM National Harbor, and will open on December 8. So if you’re in the area, hightail it to D.C. where you can pick up SJP-designed footwear. And, if you’re not, hightail it to the internet, where you can buy said footwear online. (Or to a department store. I’m not the boss of you.)
Even though, of course, the line now includes accessories, little black dresses and handbags. So bless us everyone, Christmas is sort of here if you’re into the aforementioned pieces.
