Just when you thought you were safe from talons The Jersey Shore, the reality series supreme took hold of yet another media platform, this time in the form of written word, courtesy of Nicole Snooki Polizzi.
That’s right: as of this week, Snooki’s first literary endeavor, A Shore Thing, is yours for the taking, and while we’d like to assume that the cast of everyone’s favourite guilty pleasure is oblivious to our headshakes and overwhelming judgment, the recent author got in on the joke by appearing on The Late Show With David Letterman Monday night to help sell her book. (Evidently, she claims that by purchasing A Shore Thing, you will singlehandedly fix the economy “ so think about that.)
Contrary to popular belief, the book is not an autobiography or a guide to Jersey living, but a novel “ a move Snooki has previously admitted was one to surprise everybody (which, for the record, has definitely worked).
Revolving around a pint-sized . . . outspoken and carefree party girl, A Shore Thing documents the heroine’s trials and tribulations when looking for love in the state that was once renowned for Zach Braff films and not being New York City (oh, how it’s grown).
Well, at least you can finally justify having read Lauren Conrad’s LA Candy “ and maybe even Paris Hilton’s guide to . . . doing whatever she does.
