Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon have finally spilled the beans! The two announced earlier this week that they are expecting their first child. Mariah even made a little guest appearance on Nick’s radio show to discuss the pregnancy.
“Right now I feel nauseous, I’m exhausted,” she said. But it looks like this songstress is getting a break very soon, saying it seems after New Year’s she wont be working until after the baby is born next Spring. That’s definitely a smart idea, and probably best for both her and her baby.
After keeping hush-hush about their baby plans, Mariah says she’s relieved to finally announce the pregnancy. Apparently even the people around her knew she was keeping a secret and she says that now she feels like they are all much more relaxed around her.
But this pregnancy seems to have been a very bumpy ride for this couple. Remember the pregnancy rumors back in 2008 when Nick and Mariah first got married? Well, turns out they were true. Unfortunately, Mariah had a miscarriage at the time and decided to keep the situation private. That would probably also explain why was seen visiting fertility clinics.
To help keep the baby healthy, Nick Cannon has put a stop to Mariah’s high-heel wearing ways.
Basically, I got Mariah Carey, the high-heel queen, to put on some flats. And this is amazing. I’m going shoe shopping today, needless to say, to buy you some flat shoes,” Nick said. I’d say you gotta be a pretty strong guy to battle Mariah for her shoes!
Needless to say, this is great news for the couple and we couldn’t be happier for them! Congrats Mimi and Nick!
