At this point, we should stop being surprised when Kendall Jenner takes another leap forward in the fashion world, but alas, here we are: the Internet and everyone who’s ever been on it, are losing their shit (in a good way) over Jenner in Calvin Klein’s latest campaign.
While she made her debut earlier this year as the face of Calvin Klein jeans, the reality show star (turned high fashion model) is now one of the four faces of the label’s underwear line, rounding out the team of Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana, and Edita Vilkeviciute. The tagline? “The Original Sexy.” And the campaign features some serious butts.
#YGG.
Photographed by Mikael Jansson, the brand’s latest effort evokes the same simplicity of its nineties campaigns (think: Kate Moss), which they’ve been paying homage to since Justin Bieber’s turn as the face of Calvin Klein underwear (for men).
“Calvin Klein originated sexy and we’re going to reclaim, re-imagine, and re-image it,” Melissa Goldie, Chief Marketing Officer of Calvin Klein told WWD. “We’re bringing together a powerful mix of women from all over the world to celebrate our heritage as a leader in the intimates category.”
And according to Jenner, the models are equally as enthusiastic.
“It was super fun,” she said. “Every girl loves posing in her underwear. It’s always fun to do that. I’m close with Joan, and me and all the girls are friends.”
And, hey, valid. But for the record, please allow me to say that I would rather walk into the sea than pose in my underwear. (But congrats if you’re into it, though.)
