Get Psyched: MAC x Mia Moretti

Spring has sprung, friends and lovers. And the first sign (aside from the actual date) is this: a new MAC collaboration, this time with Mia Moretti.

Launching online on March 26 and in-store from April 2 to 30, the collection promises to debut “in sync to the feverish rhythm of the summer festival season,” which makes sense since Mia Moretti is a DJ and a festival fixture.

That’s why she curated a collection consisting of everything from a lip palette (running for $48) to lipsticks ($19) to tote and makeup bags ($60 and $55), inspired by festival season and the summer weather its set in.

“I just thought of things that I wear and I know I’ve used for years and years — almost like that pair of shoes you always have to go back to because they work,” Moretti told Style.com. “I have the same policy with playing music as I do with designing makeup: If it works for you or you like a song, it’s going to work for at least one other person.”

And she’s kept makeup fun, too, thanks to what she’s named her pieces.

“I nicknamed them one-night stands or weekend flings, because they were colours I wouldn’t buy a whole tube of, but would use a couple times,” she continued. “Or, you might match them to your shoes.”

So spring’s officially started, right? Summer festival makeup means exactly that, I’m sure of it.
