It’s a sad day in the music industry as Beyonce has just announced that she has killed her alter ego, Sasha Fierce. “Sasha Fierce is done. I’ve killed her,” says the songstress in the latest issue of Allure Magazine.
Stating that once her I Am… Sasha Fierce tour ends in Trinidad, Beyonce will be taking a bit of a break from the music industry “to paint and cook, and to do Broadway shows and museums. And learn just to be home and watch television.” Her upcoming break seems to well deserved as the diva is known as one of the hardest working women in the industry and has been in the spotlight (with no breaks) for many years now.
On the death of her on-stage alter ego, Beyonce says doesn’t “need Sasha Fierce anymore,” adding that she has “grown, and now I’m able to merge the two.” Could the death of Sasha and her upcoming break mean we might be seeing a baby diva or little hov running around? I sure hope so; I think the royal couple of hip-hop would make some pretty darn cute kids.
