Rumours have hit the web that the Spice Girls will reunite for a performance at the 2012 Olympics in London. However, Melanie Brown, also known as Scary Spice, says the group will indeed perform together again this summer, but it wont be for the Olympics.
Ohh, I think the Queen’s Jubilee concert is the event I’d be looking at more closely for that to happen, Mel B. replied when asked about a possible reunion on an Australian TV show.
After the show, Scary Spice revealed that the concert news was top secret and she wasn’t at liberty to talk about the upcoming show. Oops!
All the Spice Girls have admitted in previous interviews that they would love to do another reunion tour, all except for Victoria Beckham of course. Posh Spice has been pretty busy lately, supporting her soccer star husband, raising her three sons and taking care of her baby girl. Not to mention all of her fashion endeavors that keep her on her high-heeled toes in LA.
It turns out though, after hearing Mel B.’s accidental announcement, sources have come forward to say that Posh hasn’t agreed to perform at the Queen’s concert. Organizers of the event have indeed asked the girls to perform and Mel B., Mel C., Geri Halliwell, and Emma Bunton have said they would be more than happy to reunite one more time.
All the girls are desperate for some Spice action except Posh who is simply too busy — she loves the girls and wants to support them and the fans but doesn’t see how she has the time when her fashion business is so successful, a source said. She has a very small team that she is hands-on with all day, every day. Every spare minute she has is spent with her children.
