Day two of World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto wrapped up with David Dixon’s beautiful show featuring white and light pink gowns. The manicures for this runway show were a new take on the French manicure, customized to compliment the collection!
Inspiration: Every season David Dixon maintains a standard of elegance and blushing femininity in his clothing. The nail look for his show that the essie team, led by artist Rita Remark, created matches the fresh and clean colour palette of the collection and makes a twist on a classic nail art look: The french manicure. We all know the french manicure is pink with a white tip, however, they decided to break the rules and switch the roles. The result is a manicure that is truly "David Dixon": classic, yet new, fashion forward, yet wearable.
Step 1: Polish one coat of Essie's "Ridge filling base coat"
Step 2: Polish two coats of "Essie's "Blanc"
Step 3: Polish one coat of "Limo-Scene" to dim the brightness of the bright white "Blanc"
Step 4: With a striping brush dipped in "Fiji" draw a pink french tip on each nail
Step 5: Finish the look with a coat of Essie's "Good to Go" topcoat
