My hairstylist always says that hair is every woman’s best accessory. I get it. And I’m pretty sure he’s right. It’s one of the first things people see, although I’d like to think they also notice my naturally thick eyelashes and baby blues, while not noticing my KKW butt until I’m walking away. Still, having great hair is on my daily to-do list.
Luckily, it’s gotten easier to achieve since I’ve been taking Viviscal’s Extra Strength Supplements and washing my hair with the brand’s Gorgeous Growth Densifying Shampoo and Conditioner. And yes, it’s working.
I know it sounds hokey, but unless you’ve been living on a kibbutz picking corn with no access to the internet you’ve seen the plethora of skin, collagen, nails and hair growth supplements and vitamins flooding drugstore shelves. It took about three months to start feeling a difference when I’d run my hands through my hair and then another three months to see thicker hair in my reflection in the mirror, but it has been worth the effort.
Using the shampoo and conditioner every day helped with the waiting, too. I’m more of an instant gratification person than a wait and let’s see one, so this was a big bonus. And like the supplements, both are 100 per cent drug free, which was important to me. The shampoo and conditioner are also fuelled with ingredients like pea sprouts, grape seeds, biotin, keratin and zinc that are gentle enough for daily use, yet strong enough to thoroughly rid my scalp of dirt and oil, along with its daily layer of dry shampoo. They smell nice too, a subtle scent that reminds me of walking through a garden, maybe even a kubbutz’s cornfield. I also have distinctly thicker hair now. Nothing like Julia Roberts or Gigi Hadid’s naturally glorious strands, but better than what I had before.
