Product Of The Week: OPI Summer 2022 Power of Hue Limited Edition Nail Lacquer Collection

Two things. First, we love and say daily affirmations. Second, OPI always has the best nail lacquer names. Seriously, it would be a dream to sit across from Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, the co-founder and brand ambassador of OPI, and conjure the next “I’m Not Really a Waitress.”

So you can imagine how much we freaked out (in the best way) when we realized the names of the 12 new shades in the California-based brand’s Summer 2022 Power of Hue Limited Edition Nail Lacquer Collection are positive affirmations.

There’s “Sun-rise Up,” a shimmery coral pink. “Sugar Crush It,” a cotton-candy pink. “Exercise Your Brights,” an electric hot pink. “Pink Big” is a shimmery fuchsia. “Go to Grape Lengths,” “Sky True to Yourself” and “Feel Bluetiful” are clearly daring purple, sky blue and electric blue hues. “Make Rainbows” is an iridescent green. “Bee Unapologetic” is a vivid yellow, while “Mango For It” and “The Future is You” are shimmery shades of orange and tan.

Quite possibly our favourite though, at least for this week, is “Don’t Way. Create,” a bright and pretty lilac colour. It makes us to feel like we can do and create anything every time we look at our fingernails. Which is exactly what OPI had in made when they mix mastered each shimmery shade and named them.

“The global crisis that has overwhelmed our lives for the past two years gives way to a colour direction that’s alive with energy,” affirms Weiss-Fischmann.“Invigorating aesthetics, therapeutic textures and vibrating colour combinations are at the heart of Summer 2022’s color story. This collection’s hyper-coloured shades bring a sense of euphoria and escapism with mood-boosting effects.”

And that’s exactly why we’ll be painting them on and reading their names out loud all summer long.
