Blush for your eyes? Yup. Beauty bigwig Lancôme has just released its first-ever Idôle Liquid Eye Tint Blusher in four super versatile shades: “Sunburst” a shimmery creamy gold, “Desert Sand” a pearly dusty pink, “Earth Red” a matte rosy rouge and, our current favourite, “Hot Lava” a metallic terracotta. It has been a game-changer for our morning primping routine.
The “Hot Lava” eye tint’s neutral bronze-like colour makes our blue eyes pop, while adding a shimmer to our lids. It’s pretty and stays put all day long, and without fading, no matter how humid we feel on the outside or how stressed we feel on the inside. It doesn’t crease either, which is saying a lot since eye makeup tends to do its own thing after being on our combination skin for more than two or three hours. Plus, it’s sponge applicator enables us to wear it three ways: as an eye liner, as a full coverage eyeshadow and even, as a blush or cheekbone highlighter when we want to thoroughly put its “Blusher” name to the test.
The flat side of the sponge works great for applying a full layer of the liquid shadow across our eyelids before we blend it in with our fingertips. It dries down quickly too, which is appreciated as it minimizes smudging. The thin side of the applicator is perfectly shaped to apply eyeliner along our lash line, although it took us a bit of practice to perfect (we struggle to draw a straight line on a piece of paper without a ruler!). As for adding a dab to our face, all we have to do is swipe or dot the product onto our cheekbones and the apples of our cheeks before rubbing it in. Abd when we really want to up our beauty game, we swipe on Lancôme Idôle’s Waterproof Lash Lifting Volumizing Mascara in “Glossy Black along our lashes.” Because like the Eye Tint Blusher, it too never disappoints.
