Product Of The Week: F.Miller’s Necessity Kit

The must-have, travel-size oil kit you need right now…

Face and body oils, I can honestly say, my face and legs can’t live without them. And right now, I’m all about Canadian Fran Miller’s F.Miller’s Necessity Kit’s travel-size trio of Face Oil, Body Oil and Lip Balm.

Courtesy of their concentrated blend of botanical oils and herbal extracts, which are naturally packed with antioxidants and essential fatty acids, my skin is hydrated, nourished and luminous. All the time. Plus, their formulations promote increased collagen levels and skin elasticity to reduce my fine lines. They also help with cell regeneration, so my face actually looks plumper (in a good way) and younger (or so people, other than my mom, tell me) and they work to correct sun damage, so clearly, I take them wherever I go.

I also wear them under everything to lift, support and protect and rub them on like its my job. Apparently so do you.According to Stratistics MRC, the global essential oil market accounted for US$5.91 billion in 2016 and is expected to reach US $12.85 billion by 2023. Wasn’t always like this though.

Flashback to a little over a decade ago when these skincare gems were brand spanking new and borderline freaking everyone out. There was no grey area, only a range of yes and hell-no opinions. Then along came skincare trailblazers like Shue Uemura, Josie Maran and Harper’s Bazaar‘s former fashion editor Linda Rodin—who mix-mastered 11 essential oils into her eponymous brand Rodin Olio Lusso’s to create the now cult-status line that was previously only doled out as samples to models on photo shoots—and the entire conversation shifted. Virtually overnight, oil became the must-use product.

And with brand’s like F.Miller making their indelible mark, it’s no surprise. The Canuck line-up of face and body oils are safe for all skin types and skin conditions, even oily and acne-prone ones. Plus, they’re synthetic fragrance, sulphates, parabens, colour, phthalates and cruelty-free, as well as consciously sourced. So not only do I look great, I also feel good.
