Dove’s new Plant Milk Body Wash in “Almond Milk & Green Apple” is the best thing we’ve used in the shower in a long time.
On the functional side, the wash’s formula is pretty outstanding. The almond milk-based formula is rich in vitamins E and B, so it nourishes and hydrates our skin. It also helps soften rough patches, restore our skin’s natural moisture barrier and soothes irritation (which we appreciate because shaving always makes our skin feel dry and itchy), leaving our skin looking and feeling soft and smooth. The green apple extract, packed with vitamin C and natural fruit acids (AHAs) to help remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, promote cell turnover and brighten our skin. It simultaneously (because it’s an antioxidant) fights free radical damage too, which can contribute to premature aging. You know we like that. The agave extract, an anti-inflammatory that doubles as a humectant, draws moisture into our epidermis and soothes and calms it.
But honestly, we’re all about how the body wash smells. Its green apple’s invigorating tang is so good and reminds us of junior high school, when we were obsessed with the debut of fruity scents in bath products. The almond milk is creamy with a home-y vibe. And the inclusion of freesia adds a light floral touch that transforms our shower into a spa-like experience. Because we’re all about the spa.
