How To Get Madison Beer’s 2018 MMVA Red Carpet Cat Eye

At the 2018 iHeartRadio Much Music Awards, pop singer Madison Beer stunned on the red carpet in a strapless black mini dress and thigh-high boots. Her simple, yet sexy ensemble inspired celebrity makeup artist Vincent Oquendo to go the ’60s route for the “Home with you” singer.

“The look was really simple because Madison is such a stunner. I geek out on vintage movies [and Madison reminds me of] a vintage sex kitten like a young Sophia Loren,” explains Oquendo.

Inspired by Loren’s signature look, Oquendo focused on enhancing Beer’s already-amazing brows and eyes by creating a vintage cat eye using KISS Lashes and KISS New York Professional Makeup.

Here’s a full breakdown on how to get her smouldering gaze:

Oquendo prepped Beer’s eyes by curling Beer’s lashes and lining her upper lash line.
Pro tip: For a bold eye look like this one, we suggest using a waterproof kohl liner to line the upper lash line and waterline.

Next, Oquendo used the KISS Lash Couture Triple Push Collection ($11) lashes, cut according to Beer’s eye shape, and applied them to the lash line using the KISS Lash Couture Strip Lash Adhesive in black ($7). For an extra kick, he then used the remainder of the lashes and applied them to the corner of the eyes to help accentuate the cat eye shape.
Finishing the eyes, Oquendo used the champagne shade of the KISS New York Professional Hexa Eyeshadow Palette ($13) as a base and fluffed out the darker shade into the crease.

To perfect Beer’s arches, he brushed out the brows and enhanced them with the KISS New York Professional Wooden Brow Pencil in Brunette ($8 — Coming soon).
Pro tip: To keep brows in place, we recommend priming brows with a brow gel.

Using the KISS New York Professional Halo Strobing Palette ($20), Oquendo highlighted Beer’s brow bone as well as the inner corner of her eyes and cheeks.

Lastly, to lightly sculpt and warm up her cheekbones, Oquendo used the KISS New York Professional Contour Kit ($10).
