We love New York City. It’s one of our favourite places in the world. Vibrant and bright, it hums with a hustle and bustle that oozes never-ending optimism and fuels our dreams of one day calling it home.
A top spot on our every visit is Manhattan’s historic Lower East Side (LES). Nestled between East Houston and Canal Streets, the Bowery and the East River, pre-war walk-ups stand the test of time, Katz’s Deli serves the best corned beef and pastrami sandwiches (for 136 years and counting), contemporary art galleries inspire colour and vision, and life for us, when we’re there, well, feels unlimited. It’s why we’re spritzing DKNY Be Delicious Orchard St. eau de parfum. It gives us the hit of electricity we crave.
Lively, fruity and floral, and inspired by LES’ Orchard Street’s dynamic boutiques, cafés, bookstores and restaurants, the parfum opens with crisp pink lady apple and zesty pink grapefruit notes. Velvety orris and elegant jasmine mixed with lush black raspberry and tangy pomegranate waft up soon afterwards, providing a layer of femininity. Rich and textured cedarwood with leather notes complete the scent and mirror the complexity and of Manhattan. All swirled together, the eau’s overall effect is stimulating and refreshing, intricate and multifaceted, joyful and radiant.
It’s aptly captured in a glass apple-shaped bottle too. A hot pink one to be exact, scattered with black and yellow line drawings of the city’s symbolic fruit. A new addition to Donna Karan’s Be Delicious collection—that pays homage to designer’s beloved city—is as delightful as NYC is coveted. We can’t wait to go back again.
