Celebrity Skin Secrets Revealed

Firstly, what you need to know is that a fresh face doesn’t just come on its own. A daily skin care routine based on your skin type is a necessity for getting that first step to clean, glowing skin.

1) Cleanse
When you wake up in the morning this is the first thing you should do to get off all the dirt that may have collected on your face during the night, rinse your face with some water and get that face nice and soapy, rinse away all residue and get ready for step 2!

2) Tone
Toners are not always needed but can be used as tool in your skincare routine, if you are serious about getting down to business and getting that face fresh we suggest to use one right after a cleanser for more dramatic results. (toner may make your skin feel tight after use, this is only because it is cleansing away the excess dirt and closing up your pores).

3) Moisturize
This is a must-have product for dewy, glowing skin moisturizer helps make your skin soft and hydrated throughout the day.

4) SPF
Sunscreen is not just for summer! Even some makeup selections now have built in SPF to help protect you from the suns harmful rays. Sunscreen used daily will help prevent the ageing process immensely.

5) Exfoliate and facial peels
Only use these 1-2 times a week. Exfoliaters are great for shedding away dead skin particles from the face leaving you once again smooth and fresh-faced but if used too much will irritate and dry out the skin. Facial peels are offered at salons for every skin type but can also be bought at the drugstore and work just as good.

Makeup Routine
Now we all know that celebrities aren’t perfect. We’ve seen the pictures of them without their makeup on and they have flaws just like us! Maybe we can’t be airbrushed in a magazine but we can take the next best thing and step up our makeup routine like the pros!

1) Primer
Start off by priming your face, to smooth out any pores you may have and create a base for the makeup you are about to apply.

2) Conceal
Second, start to conceal any pimples or redness you may have on your skin, then move on to concealing those under eye circles, just by doing this your can look up to years younger.

3) Foundation
Choose a foundation that is best suited for your skin colour and type, you can mix colours of foundation to make your own creation which is more likely to suit your skin colour better than the drugstore products you buy. Blend this in with a foundation sponge (there is a lot of oils that can be transferred from your hands and these sponges can be washed and reused later).

4) Powder
Use a loose powder to finish off, dust over lightly over skin using a powder brush to set everything into place.

5) Highlighter
Use a highlighter stick such as NARS Luxor or Cobacabana to cheeks, above the brow, nose, above the lip, and chin or anywhere you feel comfortable with. This gives a nice Glow and really shows up as soon as it’s applied. (tip: use on collarbone or cleavage line to create a even more dramatic effect for night time!

Lastly, always eat healthy. Your fruits and veggies matter to your skin, so don’t skimp out and most of all have fun!
