Beauty Musts to Update Your Look this Fall

You wouldn’t wear summer clothes in fall, and neither should you wear your warm weather makeup in the cooler months ahead. Our skin‘s texture actually changes to adjust to the drop in temperature and decrease of moisture in the air. So the beauty products that work for the summer doesn’t necessarily cross over in terms of effectiveness. Keeping your makeup kit up-to-date is the best way to arrive prepared when fall finally does arrive.

1. Moisturizer with SPF
Ok, so this one is pretty much standard no matter the season. We can’t stress the importance of keeping your skin hydrated and protected at the same time. Get your skin prepped every day with SPF infused moisturizer.

2. Chocolate Brown Nail Polish
Taupe, chocolate brown, mink brown, chocolate milk “ these are all the shades that you’ll want on your fingertips this fall. Essie has a gorgeous “Little Brown Dress” and it’s a fresher take on the jet black nails and inky purples we’ve seen in seasons past. And check out Joe Fresh Nail Polish in Fog and Storm.

3.  Under Eye Reviver
There are some people who wake up any day of the week just glowing and refreshed. For the rest of us there are under eye solutions. Under eye rollers are extremely popular for relieving puffiness on those early mornings. The collagen distribution along with the immediate cooling effect is a refuge for tired eyes. Try the new Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller.

4. Metallic Purple Shadows and Liners
This look is hot for fall and works best with vibrant, blue-based purples. Brush a shimmery shadow on your lids (sweep under bottom lashes too for a colourful version of a smokey-eye). If all-over purple seems too much at once, just try a thin stripe of purple liquid liner along your top lashes.

5. Pink Blush
Hot pink can be quite intimidating but when you choose the right texture, it can be a lovely look. For blush, pick a shimmer-free formula in an almost fuchsia colour and dust it on the apples of your cheeks. Don’t know where your apples are? Just smile and see.

I have to…my skin isn’t what it use to be! I won’t do a full face every time but at least tinted meritoiszer, lip balm and mascara. I’m a SAHM so I’ll actually go without make-up on the week days if I stay in though.
