Christina Aguilera is “postponing” her North American tour until sometime in 2011. According to reports, the songstress feels she needs more rehearsals for the tour that was set to start this summer. Apparently, the tour couldn’t happen anytime this year because of the release of her album Bionic and her movie debut in Burlesque that is scheduled for a November release.
However, there are speculations all over the blogosphere that the postponed tour is actually due to poor ticket sales. I’m not at all surprised if Xtina wasn’t able to sell out her summer tour, especially after all the flack she is getting for her Gaga-ish style. Besides, would you buy tickets to a concert, when you haven’t even heard the album yet? I sure wouldn’t.
Apparently between the promotions for Bionic and Burlesque, Xtina just doesn’t have enough time to rehearse for the tour that was scheduled to start on July 15. For those who did actually purchase tickets, Live Nation is promising full refunds.
While Christina was re-routing her tour, someone on the team seems to have leaked the entire Bionic album online. I have yet to hear it, but would love to know what everyone thinks. Personally, I miss Xtina from the Stripped days. Now, that was a good album.
