Before The 7 Virtues became known for its feel-good approach to fragrance, founder Barb Stegemann was building something bigger than a perfume brand. After a personal mission to create economic opportunities in conflict-affected communities, Stegemann launched The 7 Virtues with the belief that scent could be a vehicle for transparency, empowerment and connection. The result: fragrances that pair beautiful compositions with a deeper story behind every bottle.
Their latest release, Strawberry Jam Eau de Parfum, a bright, berry-kissed scent with a heady gourmand finish, brings that philosophy into a new chapter by funding Days for Girls in advancing period equity in North America.
The sunny, playful scent opens with nutty pistachio notes before being mixed into a blend of sun-ripened strawberries and fresh freesia blooms. This warm and juicy first impression balances the fragrance’s candy-like sweetness with a sheer, clean and airy quality. Whipped vanilla, marshmallow and warm amber notes soon waft forward adding a creamy, gooey, delectably cozy and subtly addictive finish. Made with 22 per cent concentration of responsibly sourced fragrance oils, the hypoallergenic, vegan and cruelty free eau’s overall effect is jammy, cheerful and joyfully sticky-sweet.
The brand’s familiar, rectangular, clear glass bottle, topped with a black cap lets the bright strawberry and freesia illustrated label take centre stage. Its minimalist packaging and thoughtful design also reinforce the brand’s focus on ingredients, intention and the belief that beauty can look as good as it smells and feels…and does.
The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam EDP, $127 for 50 ml, available at Sephora.
