The 10 Best Dressed Women At The 2019 Golden Globes

Sunday night’s 76th annual Golden Globes festivities definitely brought out the very best in celeb fashion. Christopher Turner takes a look at which leading ladies stunned on the first big red carpet of the year.

Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga, who took home the Golden Globe for Best Original Song – Motion Picture for “Shallow,” shut down the Golden Globe red carpet wearing an elaborate periwinkle Valentino Haute Couture gown. The strapless Cinderella dress featured a voluminous train and detached ruffled sleeves. Gaga finished off her look with roughly $5 million worth of Tiffany & Co. sparklers.

Gemma Chan
Gemma Chan wowed on the red carpet wearing a Valentino Haute Couture gown that featured a split skirt to reveal a pair of built-in satin shorts and a giant bow cascading down her back. The Crazy Rich Asians star complimented the beautiful teal gown with matching Christian Louboutin satin pumps and Forevermark diamond earrings.

Lupita Nyong’o
Another stunner on the annual Golden Globe red carpet was Lupita Wyong’o. The Black Panther actress wore a vivid cobalt blue Calvin Klein dress that was draped in silver embellishments. The tasselled custom-made gown was truly breathtaking.

Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman stunned on the Golden Globe red carpet wearing a skin-tight, long-sleeve Michael Kors dress. Her Christian Louboutin shoes and Harry Winston jewels were the perfect finishing touches.

Saoirse Ronan
Saoirse Ronan stepped out on Sunday night’s red carpet wearing an antique-platinum beaded Gucci plunging gown. Look at that gorgeous crystal embroidery! The presenter finished off her look with Chopard emerald earrings (34.88 carats).

Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts looked beautiful wearing her standout Stella McCartney look on the red carpet. The black tailored trousers and a nude pleated top, which cascaded into a flowing train, were the perfect balance of masculine and feminine.

Constance Wu
Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu looked like a fairy tale on the 2019 Golden Globe red carpet. Her nude tulle gown by Vera Wang wit its eye-catching orange velvet bow was simply stunning.

Rosamund Pike
Rosamund Pike’s unexpected red carpet look will have doubtless divided many, but her black cutaway Givenchy couture gown was a bold gamble that paid off. Which its graphic lines and harsh cutaways, the overall effect was strong and confident – much like the actress herself – with some added sparkle courtesy of the jacket casually thrown over her shoulders.

Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron stunned on the red carpet wearing (surprise!) Dior Haute Couture. The Tully star complimented her black and ivory silk crepe halter gown with Bulgari jewels.

Irina Shayk (and Bradley Cooper)
The couple made a rare red carpet appearance together on Sunday night and they dressed to impress! The supermodel wore an embellished gold curve-hugging Atelier Versace gown with thigh-high slit, while the nominated actor/director hit the red carpet wearing an all-white Gucci DIY MTO tuxedo with black bow tie and shoes.
