Visiting a Nude Beach With Your Partner

Aside from the eliminating tan lines and wearing an uncomfortable bikini all day, going nude is a desirable experience because it’s one of those thrilling bucket list item you just have to check off at least once in your life. It may be intimidating, but once you get there, the fun of sharing this experience with your partner will likely outweigh any self-consciousness. Here are some pointers to ensure your nude beach trip is the best it can be:

1. Be confident.
Like any other new social situation, when you act confident, you’ll look (and start to feel) as if you fit right in. Being with your partner will help with that. Just focus on having a good time with them.

2. Do your research.
Knowing what to expect from the specific beach may make you feel a little more at ease, especially if you’re more comfortable being in control of situations (and who isn’t?). First of all, make sure the beach you’re going to is definitely a nude beach. Is clothing optional? Is it adult only or will there be kids around? How busy does it generally get? Arrange your trip according to what you and your partner want and then you’ll eliminate surprises.

3. Avoid strangers if you want to.
Oftentimes, people at nude beaches are discrete. They tend to be more respectful of other beach-goers personal space. You may be more comfortable knowing you won’t have to awkwardly walk through any family Frisbee tournaments or raging volleyball games or anything like that if you don’t want to.

4. Live in the moment.
Try to shake off your preconceived ideas of nude beaches and be open to the moment. If you’re worried about what you look like or nervous about what might happen, the only thing you’ll remember about your trip is the way you felt. This is a new experience, maybe a scary one, but you and your partner are in it together.

5. Be open with your partner if you’re nervous.
If you’re going to be a team, make sure you’re both on the same page before you go. If you’re worried the beach is going to be full of single babes walking around, tell him. Get your worries off your chest before you go.

6. Bring sunscreen.
If your whole bod is going to be exposed to the sun, you’ll definitely want it to be protected. Otherwise, you’ll end up as red as a tomato and your skin will be burning for days. Not a good look.
