The next time you feel ashamed about using Tinder, take comfort in knowing that even celebrities are on the online dating/hook-up app. Tinder’s CEO Sean Rad has confirmed that there are a “ton” of celebrities using the app, though he cannot reveal them or he would “get in trouble.” However, thanks to some shameless celebs and some very lucky users, we found out the names of some high-profile people on the app.
Here are five celebrities you’ll find on Tinder:
Though not 100% confirmed, we have a pretty good inkling that Lindsay Lohan is on Tinder. Case in point: she tweeted out that she found her brother, Michael, on the app. Lindsay’s clearly had some dating troubles in the past, so Tinder seems like a natural next step for the troubled actress’ quest for love. Our only question is…is Lilo swiping right to men or women?
“Even pageant-title-holders get lonely,” said Nana Meriwether, aka Miss USA 2012. The statuesque beauty confirmed she’s been a Tinder user since April after being urged by a male friend to try out the app. “I think it could be a great way to meet people, especially in New York City,” Meriwether told The Cut. “I think when you're single, you should try all avenues. And now there are so may new apps for dating – this one is just really fun.”
When a Bachelor-created relationship fails, join Tinder! Yes, a former Bachelor is on the app. After ending his engagement to Courtney Robertson (who competed and won the 16th season of the dating show), Ben Flajnik seems to be looking for love online. When a fan found Flajnik on the app, she tweeted, “Haha did this just happen? Hit me up on tinder.” Flajnik replied, “tinder is hilarious.”
He may not be on it yet, but Chris Pine has expressed interest in joining online dating sites and apps like Tinder. “I have a couple of buddies who use Tinder,” the Star Trek star told Cosmopolitan. “Whatever eases the process is great, since it can be awkward or uncomfortable meeting someone.”
Mindy Lahiri and Danny Castellano
As part of a genius marketing ploy, two Mindy Project characters are now on Tinder. No matter what your location, you’ll find Mindy Lahiri and Danny Castellano, complete with a spot-on bio and tons of pics. Swipe right and you’ll instantly be “matched” and receive a message telling you to tune into The Mindy Project.
