When the inevitable cold weather hits Toronto this winter, rather than avoiding the cold and staying indoors all season, you should embrace the winter with your significant other. There's plenty to do outside for the more adventurous types like snowshoeing, skating and sledding--not to mention plenty of indoor activities for the homebodies like movie marathons, cooking classes and spa dates. Snowshoeing
Hang up your sneakers and take a break from your typical exercise routine and head north of the city to Lakeridge Ski Resort and hit up the trails. Snowshoeing is rustic, romantic and the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy the cold weather. Just make sure to pack a thermos filled with your favourite hot beverage.
