Introducing: #MACKiesza

Here’s a cool thing you should get sufficiently psyched for: MAC and Canadian singer Kiesza have teamed up to bring us #MACKiesza, a collaboration slated to hit select stores and the internet on February 9 (through to March 23).

The collection is small but mighty, consisting of lipstick (Dearly Beloved: warm soft brown, $21), Vamplify (Thunder Kiss: deep chocolate, $24), a brow pencil (Cork: red head, $25) and eyeliner (Point Black: black, $24), which work to create a vibe straight out of the 1990s, bless us everyone.

This news comes hot on the heels of Kiesza’s first single off her sophomore album, and she told Billboard that the process of working with MAC was very “organic.”

“If I’m going to wear something every day, I don’t want to change my face; I want to enhance my personality,” she described, explaining the lipstick is one you can wear anytime, while the liner can be used to up the dramatic ante — before talking about her favourite feature. “I love eyebrows and feel they frame your face, giving your eyes a whole new look. When I thicken mine, my eyes look more intense which help brings the whole look together.”

Fair! And also true! All of it!

Anyway, the countdown is on, so hold onto your hats or other key components of a ’90s-inspired wardrobe.
