Remember the time Glee was one of the best things to happen to television in the last five years, and its recent Madonna episode made it even better? Well, behold the upcoming abundance of awesome: a Britney Spears episode is officially being considered.
After Ms. Spears’ manager posted their interest via Twitter, Glee creator Ryan Murphy responded: I am interested in the Britney Spears idea. I’ve always loved her. I’m entertaining it. I think young kids would like that.
Well, obviously “ and as would teens, twenty-somethings and anyone who once learned the choreography to Baby One More Time (not that I did that).
And not only is the former Princess of Pop being considered for her very own episode, but so is Billy Joel, Led Zeppelin and Courtney Love. Murphy added: I ran into Courtney Love the other day and talked to her. She’s interested. I would love to have the kids do a Courtney Love episode one day. (Is it me, or is Christmas happening in April?)
So the moral of the story? Glee is the best, and will clearly continue its streak of fabulousness. Looks like those baby doll dresses will soon be back in style “ Love was the Madonna of grunge, after all.
