Rebecca Hickey, one of the makeup artists who worked on season three of The White Lotus is revealing a product that she used on the cast members while they were on the set, and she says that it is one of her favourite beauty products from the season. According to Hickey, the Mother Science Molecular Hero Serum helped keep skin tone even, bright, and helped makeup last longer in the high heat and humidity from filming in Thailand.
“Shooting in Thailand brought some new challenges, especially the heat and humidity, [and] as the makeup designer on set, I had to make sure that the makeup held up during long hours of shooting,” Hickey told Variety. “The key to this is prepping the skin with Mother Science Molecular Hero Serum which contains an exclusive novel breakthrough ingredient Malassezin that is ten-times stronger than Vitamin C without any of the irritation that often comes along with Vitamin C, so it’s super gentle and super effective.”
She added, “As a professional makeup artist less discolouration means less to conceal, less to cover up and ultimately less makeup – I found that using this serum helped the makeup last longer.”

This first-of-its-kind vegan serum can be used both morning and night all over your face and can be used in place of a vitamin c, dark spot, or anti-aging serum, or layered with another serum/treatment if desired.
“I’ve tried a lot of different skin care products and Mother Science Molecular Hero Serum is one of my favourite products that we used all last season in Thailand. It fades age spots, sunspots, fine lines and wrinkles while overall just brightening the skin.”
Season three of The White Lotus wraps up on Sunday April 6, 2025 with episode eight – titled “Amor Fati” – which will run 90 minutes long. It will mark the final episode of season three, before the series looks towards a fourth season.
Mother Science Molecular Hero Serum retails for $89 US for 30ml / 1 fl. oz. Visit motherscience.com.
