Product Of The Week: Moitié Cosmetics At-Home Lash Extension Kit

If you’re like me, you can’t walk 50 feet down the street without passing someone with long, thick, fluttering eyelashes. But this isn’t new. It’s been at least seven years since the KarJenners took falsies mainstream, making lash bars, lash extensions, stick-on lash strips and anything else worth batting our eyes over the must-access service and must-wear style. And yet, I’ve never joined in.

Having natural, super long lashes has been my beauty mark. Some girls have Sports Illustrated abs, a Cindy Crawford mole, others Insta Ashley Moore’s lips or Victoria Secrets long hair…I’ve got great lashes. I’ve also got Moitié Cosmetics At-Home Lash Extension Kit sitting on my bathroom counter and if I’m reading the instructions properly and I think I am, they’re claiming to make my set longer and thicker in ten minutes without me ever leaving the house. This is where curiosity and the appeal of being able to up my beauty game (in sweatpants no less) got me.

I tried a set on.

To be fair, I don’t have a very steady hand when it comes to fiddly stuff (I loathe lots of crafty things like needlepoint, cross stitching and jewellery making as a result), so it took a bit of trial and error for me to glue the extensions on. But I got it and I got better as I went along.

What I like best about Moitié Cosmetics lashes is that they make my own natural set look thicker and darker. Darker is a big one for me since being a blonde, my lashes are really pale unless I tint and coat them in mascara and I’m lazy so not having to do either is really appealing. I can also sleep and shower in the lashes and so far, they seem to have solid longevity. I’ve been wearing the original set I applied for five days (and counting) and they still look fresh. If I want to touch them up or trade them out though I can, along with glue, lash remover, lash wash and tools, the kit contains three extra sets of lash pairs, which will probably last a month. Oh and my sensitive eyes are not experiencing any allergic reactions such as redness and itching.

So really, the only thing I need to work on now is my come hither look. Hey, if I’m going to double up on my style, I should at least up the batting practice. I’ll keep you posted on how that works out for me…
