It’s no secret we love to wear perfume. Especially one that can make us feel feminine, sophisticated and empowered with just one spritz, like Giorgio Armani’s Sì Eau de Parfum Intense. Like it’s double-digit line-up of predecessors, this new eau oozes the warmth and sensuality we’ve come to know, love and wear since 2013. Yet as a chypre fragrance (a category of perfumes renowned for their mysterious, sultry, woody-mossy notes), Sì Eau de Parfum Intense wafts a little more complexity and whole lot of confidence than it’s counterparts.
On first inhalation, the Italian eau’s signature note, a dark, juicy, blackcurrant nectar engages our senses, igniting memories of our past Sì-infused moments. Turkish rose from the Isparta region soon blossoms, adding a heady, intense and velvety quality to the mix, before being enveloped into a spicy, gooey and warm blend of Madagascan vanilla, patchouli and benzoin resin. The overall effect is “beautiful,” says Cate Blanchett, the spokeswoman for the parfum. “It’s confident sensuality is a celebration of women in all of their complexity.”
We couldn’t agree more. With its iconic curved flacon, the nude-coloured glass boasts a slightly smoldered effect for an extra touch of glamour, while the glossy black and stone-shaped cap is sleek, chic and encircled in gold rings around the neck and at the base of the bottle. Most important of all though, is how we feel every time we put a little on. “How you smell is a revelation of your character,” affirms Blanchett. “It shares how you feel about yourself and how you want to be perceived.”
