“I really liked the idea of a darker, rainy world for Eilish No. 2,” says Billie Eilish, of her second and latest namesake fragrance. “We started with the original ‘Eilish’ elements of warmth and sweetness, but then added spicy and woodsy elements for a more sultry, wet feeling.”
The singer/songwriter knows her notes, both in and out of the recording studio. Her latest gender-free eau, aptly named Eilish No. 2 is an intimate woody floral musk that opens with fresh Italian bergamot and sweet apple blossom. Earthy papyrus notes combine with spicy black pepper and wet poppy flowers to create a cool/warm juxtaposition before being flowed into a pool of woody palo santo and ebony and a metallic, nuanced veil of skin musk. The overall effect is raw and striking with a smooth and alluring appeal.
Captured in a matte black flacon shaped like the head and torso of a naked woman, the vegan scent is crafted from clean ingredients and certified by PETA’s Global Beauty Without Bunnies list of cruelty-free products. All combined, it conveys the artist’s sensual side along with the sensation of being drenched in the perfume’s notes. The chronology and shape of the number 2 creates a bond between the curves of the written number and the sensual curves of the bottle and imagery. It’s both enchanting and beautiful.
