The Dead Sea is one of the world’s most ancient, unique and invigorating natural spas. Dead Sea mud has been proven to stimulate blood circulation, provide skin hydration and reduce inflammation due to the high levels of minerals infused in the mud. The Dead Sea also has an extremely high content of salt, which is the perfect natural remedy for acne prone skin in need of gentle exfoliation. With minerals like magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium, the Dead Sea can offer therapeutic solutions to many skin and circulation problems. There are many Dead Sea products available in Canada; AHAVA products provide authentic bath salts and mud masks, as well as shampoos and soaps that turn your shower into a biblical oasis.

Switzerland

Many products are created by doctors, biochemists and natural health care providers who specialize in organic and herbal therapy. The Swiss’ experience and education in beauty product research leaves the majority of their products paraben, fragrance and dye free. Arbonne carries premium beauty products that are so pure they are even vegan certified. Choose from anti-aging serums certified by dermotologists to baby products tested by pediatricians. Botanically based and inspired by the nature of Switzerland, Arbonne is available to order anywhere in Canada.

The Manuka Tree, a close relative to the more recognized Tea Tree family, produces these magical flowers very rarely in the year. Honeybees collect the pollen and turn it into Manuka honey, a strong antibacterial and antioxidant product. The honey is beneficial with topical treatment for acne and external problems, as well as a natural choice to help with internal digestive and congestive health issues. Manuka honey is also a great base for homemade remedies such as facial masks, hair shiners and body scrubs. The rising popularity yet rarity of the product have many beauty vendors using the name for unauthorized products. Double check the label reads guaranteed organic Manuka honey from New Zealand.

I use Ahava! And I look amazing — if I don’t say so myself! LOL. When I’m low on cash, I use Yes to Carrots because it has dead sea salts as well and is cheaper. I figure what was good enough for Cleopatra is good enough for Ms. Jitterbug! Though, I did read somewhere that the Dead Sea is being depleted. I would hate to think that in a few years the Dead Sea will be gone because of beauty products…
