I am about to drop news on you that you didn’t see coming at all, so please contain your surprise: Gigi Hadid is fronting Max Mara Accessories ads for fall.

Of course, fans of Gigi and/or Max Mara Accessories already know that last year, she posed as Marilyn Monroe for the brand’s fall campaign, and then she was also photographed by Steven Meisel (who photographed her this year, too). So far only one image has been released and unsurprisingly it is beautiful, so congratulations to Gigi Hadid on running the world.
Also, girlfriend just hosted the MMVAs and wore six outfits”which totally cancels out the nonsense expelled by Stephanie Seymour who for some reason opted to weigh in on the status of supermodels and referred to the likes of Hadid and Kendall Jenner as “bitches of the moment.” (Oh boy.)
Kendall Jenner responded, and everyone freaked out, and now Seymour has issued an apology via Instagram.
“I don’t usually address rumours, but since feelings have been hurt I would like to set the story, straight,” she captioned. “At an event last week, I was jokingly asked if the ‘era of supermodels’ was over, what should we call the new great ‘it’ girls?? There were no names mentioned, and NO ill intent involved. A supermodel is a supermodel. I respect and admire all these women in my industry, in particular Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Having been in the business over 20 years I know how hard these women work. Bravo to both Gigi and Kendall for their success!!”
And honestly? Good for everyone, everybody’s fine, it’s all under control, and all people involved have beds of money to sleep on, and that’s okay, it’s none of my business, we can make it through together.
In the meantime, keep your eyes on the fall campaigns being released over the next little while. Shit’s getting real (and very exciting).
