Well you better. This, according to a recent piece in Forbes, has been 15 years in the making — ever since Posen made his New York Fashion Week debut.
“Fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand,” the designer said in a press release. “I have always wanted to create a makeup collection to complement my designs and brand — it was only natural to work with MAC to create my first-even signature collection.”
And the signature collection is majorly reflective of Zac Posen’s creative vision. Think: luxurious.
“I wanted to create what I think are the essential items that a makeup artist or a woman needs to be ready for the Oscars,” he continued. “The collection is debuting just in time. You can get the Oscars look while watching the Oscars at home. It’s truly elegance at your fingertips.”
And indeed it is. So get ready to up the aesthetic ante and channel your inner Michelle Obama (she wears his gowns, you guys, come on) because MAC just got a little more fancy. At least for the next month.
