Nike Premieres Margot vs. Lily, Hopes to Inspire Women to Step Outside Comfort Zone

Last night in Toronto, Nike invited a group of female journalists, bloggers and influencers to 2nd Floor Events on King Street West to get a first look at their new 8-part YouTube series, Margot vs. Lily. For the past two years, Nike’s stellar social media strategy and their NTC Community (Nike+ services available to Torontonians, such as live Nike Training Club classes, accessed at Nike.com/Toronto) has created a groundswell, making being active the “in” thing. Their hashtag, #BetterForIt, has motivated women across the world to achieve their fitness goals. Even last night’s premiere was followed by a high intensity workout led by Nike’s trainers.

This YouTube series is part of Nike’s larger call to action for women everywhere to step outside of their comfort zone and ignite their own #BetterForIt journey. Executive produced by Emmy-nominated and Sundance winner Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and directed by Tricia Brock, the series stars two adopted sisters who couldn’t be more different, Margot (Brigette Lundy-Paine) who has just been fired from her job and Lily (Samantha Marie Ware), a YouTube fitness guru. The sisters return home for the holidays and challenge each other to a New Year’s resolution-off.

A new episode of Margot vs. Lily will premiere every week in conjunction with a new NTC app workout.
