Jamie Dornan is replacing Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey in the upcoming 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film.
After announcing that he would be playing the iconic character from the erotica series, Hunnam dropped out of the film saying he wanted to concentrate on the last season of 'Sons of Anarchy' and go back to London to deal with some family issues. This, of course, threw the film's execs into a frenzy to replace him as soon as possible. Yesterday, it was announced that Dornan would be taking over.
Dornan is a former Calvin Klein model from Ireland, who is best known for his role as Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman on 'Once Upon a Time'. According to reports, Dornan was brought in with fellow actor Billy Magnussen to do a screen test with Dakota Johnson (who will be playing Anastasia Steele). The studios reportedly considered bringing in more actors, but decided that Dornan was the right choice.
Sam Taylor-Johnson will be directing the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film, which will begin shooting on November 5. The movie is set to hit theaters in August 2014.
