We associate the name brand Dyson with our cordless vacuum cleaner. If our condo was on fire, it would be the fourth thing we’d save, following our cats, iPhone and laptop.
But in recent years, Dyson has also created a name for themselves in the haircare and beauty tools arena and its time we gave them props. Founded in the UK and guided by an engineering-first mindset, Dyson has spent decades rethinking everyday objects (like our beloved Cyclone V10 Animal; we have cats) through precision and performance. So, when the brand entered haircare, it didn’t chase trends, but rather, it rewrote the rules, treating styling as an applied science.
Their latest development, the Chitosan Multi-Use Styling Spray is a natural extension of that smarty-pants thinking.
Lightweight and flexible, the spray is designed to support our hair’s natural movement rather than lock it in place. We’ll explain. The formula is crafted with chitosan, a sophisticated macromolecule derived from oyster mushrooms that creates an invisible, breathable layer that can actually move with each strand of hair. So while it locks our style into place it also allows our hair to remain soft and touchable without a hint of helmet head. The inclusion of bamboo extract, rich in natural silica, helps reinforce our hair’s strength and elasticity, minimizing breakage. Hyaluronic acid draws hydration into the hair to prevent dryness and flyaways without adding weight, while a blend of amino acids helps smooth the cuticle and support overall hair integrity, making our styles look polished rather than, well, over styled.
