5 Of Our Favourite Pride 2022 Beauty Collections

Going to Pride? Of course we are. Our support for the LGBTQ+ community knows no bounds. And with five of our favourite brands offering Pride-oriented products we have everything we need, including the right glam, to create our most memorable moments and very best style.

Let’s get to it! Here are five of our favourite Pride 2022 beauty collections… (P.S. we’ll be wearing them all summer long!)

PRIDEFUL 6-pack Lip Gloss
With all the shine and six tasteful flavours, from “Cherry Vanilla,” “Orange Mango” and “Citrus Blend,” to “Melon,” “Coconut” and “Sweet Berries,” our lips have never smelled so sweet. Packed with vitamin E, jojoba and sweet almond oil, the glosses are nourishing too. But what we really love is Jason Hayes’, the brand’s creative director and celebrity wig and makeup artist, prideful philosophy that “true change happens when someone is given the chance to succeed.” Which is why we’ll have access to these lippies 365 days a year, including the month of June.
BUY: PRIDEFUL 6-pack Lip Gloss, from $11.40, available online at www.prideful.me and at Walmart stores.

Peace Out Skincare Limited Edition Pride Acne Healing Dots
Got a spot? We’re covering ours up with these tiny acne-healing dots. Powered with clean technology, each dot works hard to reduce our blemishes in six hours or less, too. Plus, they’re fuelled with encapsulated salicylic acid to penetrate our pores and clear blemishes without irritation. An infusion of clean hydrocolloid polymer technologyextracts impurities and acts as a barrier to guard against external elements, while aloe vera soothes and minimizes the appearance of redness and Retinol promotes clear-looking skin. The best part though, Peace Out is donating 20 per cent of each package of dots sales to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ+ people.
BUY: Peace Out Skincare Acme Healing Dots, Limited Edition, $25, available online at www.peaceoutskincare.com.

Dew Of The Gods x Trans Lifeline Pride Pack: Frozé The Royal Face Wash and Iced Rosé Body Scrub
We’re not going to lie. It was the brand’s name that sold us first, but then we washed and scrubbed both products on we were hooked. For starters, Frozé The Royal Face Wash’s vegan formula is loaded with blueberry extract and coconut enzymes to soothe, calm and cleanse our skin. As for its skincare buddy, Frozé Iced Rosé Body Scrub is chock-a-block full of natural sea salt, blueberry essential oil, strawberry seed oil and jojoba essence to exfoliate, smooth and hydrate our skin. Both smell delicious enough to drink too. Another topnotch fact, Ryan Dubs, the brand’s Toronto-born founder and LGBTQ+ TikTok star is donating 100 per cent of all sales from the Pride Pack to Trans Lifeline, a North American trans-led organization that connects trans people to community support and resources.
BUY: Dew Of The Gods x Trans Lifeline Pride Pack: Frozé The Royal Face Wash and Iced Rosé Body Scrub, $52, available online at www.dew.com.

Quo Beauty Pride Collection
For the second year in a row we’re giving props to Shoppers Drug Mart for its rainbow-bright Quo Beauty Pride collection complete with a bold eyeshadow palette in every colour we could ever wish to wear, waterproof eyeliners, nail polish, stick-on gems, an applique sponge, lips-shaped sunglasses, a colourful bucket hat and more. After all, “Pride can be a time to be creative and think outside the makeup bag,” says Icesis, Quo Beauty’s partner, drag performer and Canadian television star. “It’s a time for self-love and self-expression, and to feel supported when you edge yourself out of your comfort zone.” So yes, while we admit we love all the beauty items, it’s actually Shoppers Drug Mart’s commitment to contribute 10 per cent of sales from the Quo Beauty Pride collection to Pflag Canada, which helps Canadians with issues of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression that captured our heart. The drugstore is also supporting PFlag Canada, PFlag Toronto and The 519 with an additional corporate donation of $20,000.
BUY: The Quo Beauty Pride collection, from $8 to $40, is available online at www.shoppersdrugmart.ca.

The Body Shop Out For Love Multitasking Highlighters
Our love affair with the UK-based brand has grown recently thanks to its new line-up of three gorgeous, shimmery highlighters in “Space,” a silvery blue, “Pearl,” an opalescent white and “Baked,” a peachy bronze. They look great beneath our eyebrows, across our cheekbones and lips and anywhere else we dab a little on. Vegan, each highlighter has been crafted with 85 per cent ingredients of natural origin and then poured into 100 per cent recyclable packaging. Oh and did we mention, from now until August 1, 2022, The Body Shop is donating $1 for every highlighter sold (up to $10,000) to help drive campaigns and community-based resources for It Gets Better Canada, a non-profit organization that uplifts and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth around the world.
BUY: The Body Shop Out For Love Multitasking Highlighters, $22 each, available online at www.thebodyshop.com and in The Body Shop stores.
