It's almost here: The biggest day of each year for movies is only a week away and we couldn't be more excited to see who's going to take home the top prizes. But, if you're anything like us, you love watching the movies and reading the books that inspired them--because what could be more fun that pulling apart all the details that the flick missed or got totally wrong (looking at you, Harry Potter franchise). Whether you fly through some of these in the next week, or spend the rest of your hibernation catching up on the wins and snubs in both the literary and cinematic worlds, we've rounded up all the books to read before the 2016 Oscars, all available at Indigo. Happy Reading!
As somehow who is hopelessly in love with Matt Damon, I purchased this book less than an hour after I saw the movie. To my surprise, not only did the movie version nail most of the details from the book, both versions were funny and dramatic in their own way–and props to Andy Weir for this being his debut novel. Read and watch both versions, you won’t be disappointed (unless of course you also think Matt Damon getting nominated for Best Actor is bogus–he’s on my “list” and even I don’t think he should be up there for this).
